Recent favourites...

I've been producing a bit of work lately, and not found time to feature it on the blog.

Here's a small selection of some favourites from recent shoots in Canberra.

Thanks to April, Anastasia, Terri Leigh, Brauton, Adele and Jess for their lovely help...

More from Sydney...

Another trip to Sydney allowed for a little Fashion in the Street shooting again.
It's amazing how a new city inspires me to keep going with this project. I particularly enjoyed shooting the passers-by near the town hall, whether candidly, or by asking them.

Thanks to those that I did ask and who said yes!

And thanks of course to the lovely Stella, Viola and Samantha who helped make the trip a success.

Civic and New Acton with a new aesthetic...

Thanks to the new direction of investigating fashion in the environment with the broader view of a horizontal camera format, I have renewed enthusiasm for Fashion in the Street.

Brauton, Adele and Jess helped me explore New Acton and Civic with fresh eyes, thanks so much for your lovely assistance. Special kudos to Jess on her modelling debut, well done!

A departure to horizontal...

You may or may not have noticed that nearly every Fashion in the Street image is a vertical format one.

It seems to work well for most things. But it's become a habit which is hard to break, so a departure was required to investigate a new aesthetic.

The emerging theme is one of horizontal scenes, set against a largely 2 dimensional background. A chance for the model to interact with the environment and the image to portray something of this environment.

Too much analysis will destroy the effect however, so please enjoy. And remember to click on the image to see it full size...

Civic & New Acton – Season 2 continues...

Even though we're fully into Autumn now, Fashion in the Street still has momentum.
